Is there an age limit for hand & footprints?

No, we can use the hand and footprints of all ages of baby, child & adult. We have worked with the prints of grandparents and new-borns to create the most precious hand and footprint jewellery.

Is there an age limit for taking fingerprints?

Fingerprints tend to be very faint on young babies. So, we recommend fingerprint jewellery from 18months onwards. This will vary from baby to baby. If the print is clearly visible to the naked eye, then you should be able to capture it.

Is the jewellery made with real silver?

All Impressions to Keep jewellery is made with real silver. It is either 99.9% pure silver or sterling silver.

What size will my prints be on the jewellery?

Hand, foot & paw prints are reduced in size to fit onto your chosen piece of personalised jewellery. The smaller the print the less detail is visible. This also applies to multiple prints on the same piece of silver.

How will the fingerprints appear in the silver?

Fingerprints will appear in the silver as they appear in the putty. All details including wrinkles and crinkles will transfer to the silver. The prints cannot be enhanced. If the print is faint, it will be faint in the silver.

Can I order several items from the same print?

Yes of course. Each piece will be subtly different as each piece is handmade and therefore absolutely unique. We do our utmost to ensure consistency but there will inevitably be very minor differences.

Will the prints fade?

As your jewellery is made with fine silver it is softer and purer than sterling and maybe prone to wear if not looked after, continually touched etc.

I have some handwriting I would like to use, is this possible?

YES! Signatures or words are great to pop onto personalised keepsake jewellery.

I already have prints, can you use them?

Yes no problem at all. You can scan or take a phot of the images & email them to us.

How will the hand and footprints appear in the silver?

We will arrange your prints to best suit the size and shape of jewellery you have selected. If you have specific requirements, please let us know.

How do I send you my prints?

Hand, foot, pawprints and writing can be scanned or photographed and emails to us. Fingerprint putty will need to be posted.

Do you engrave?

We can hand inscribe the reverse of the jewellery or stamp a name on the front.

How much engraving can you fit on?

Space is limited, so use one work, name or date as a guide. Larger pieces might fit a name & a date. Please note that any wording on the front of the piece will mean less space for your prints. .

GDPR

We comply with the new GDPR legislation and we have a full and comprehensive privacy policy available upon request. In brief; any data collected and retained by Impressions to Keep is held securely and safely electronically. We only store images sent to us and not your contact details for a maximum of 7 years. Our payment processing suppliers is Stripe; who have their own privacy policy which can be found on their websites.

Returns

If your item is faulty we will repair or replace. In the unlikely event we have made a mistake on your jewellery, please inform us within 7 days and we will replace.

Cancellation of your order cannot be made if work has already started on your item.
